Questions & Answers
Q. What are the benefits of attending a Private School?
A. There are many benefits to attending a Private School, such as a smaller class size, which allows for a more one on one learning experience, more personal attention from the staff and faculty, and an overall higher passing rate on state and national exams.
Q. Why the medical field?
A. The medical field continues to grow and the demand is at an all time high, all over the country, especially here in the Rio Grande Valley. Even in an economy that might be showing signs of slowing down, the Health Care Industry does not. All our area hospitals and clinics continue to hire regularly, and now with even more medical facilities opening up in the near future, the demand is in constant growth. The financial compensation for working in the medical field is very competitive and very often exceeds salaries in other industries. Emotionally, the health care field gives you the opportunity to feel good about a day's work knowing that you served as care givers to those in need.
Q. What would I have to do to enroll in a class?
A. Contact Admissions & Recruiting via this Website Admissions or call 956-973-1945 or 888-973-1945 or come by our offices during regular business hours to begin the admissions process or via this Website. Once you have completed the school application, contact the school financial aid office to inquire how you might qualify for financial assistance through our funding sources such as Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Rehabilitation, Motivation Education & Training, and Federal Financial Aid through the Department of Education. If you are interested in applying for Federal Financial Aid, we can help you fill out the application and explain to you how Financial Aid works and what the process will be.
Q. Does the school offer Placement Services after I complete the program?
A. Yes, there is a full-time Placement Officer at the school who is there to assist graduates of the school to find and keep employment.
Valley Grande Institute vs. University Education
Q. Why do students choose Valley Grande Institute?
A. 1) To use the same equipment in class that they would use in their job. 2) To be trained by instructors who work or have worked in the field they are studying. 3) Utilizing a smaller class size to have more one on one learning experience with instructors. 4)To gain skills to get a good job and solid career in the medical field. 5)To qualify for a good job in a short period of time.
If you say yes to any of these:
- I don't want to wait four years for a career.
- My ACT score is not high enough for college.
- I don't think college is for me.
